Resell Thoughts
After a very profitable week between the Stone Island collection and the lookbook items, this week doesn't look as profitable. However, there are a good amount of items that will do well starting with the director's chair. The chair is without a doubt the main item this week and will do best in red. Unlike the step ladder from fw18, the retail for the chair is a lot less. There is a lot of talk about it being only 18" tall, while that may seem short, it is actually an average height for a chair so I don't see it impacting its resell value by much. As long as it's somewhat limited you can expect the chair to hover around $275. The two lookbook pieces that stand out are the pouch hoodie and the city arc tee. I recommend sticking to size smalls as well as neutral colors for both pieces. The city arc tee can be compared to the floral tee from last season except the higher retail will only impact its resell value negatively. I don't recommend copping the Nike shoes as they will more than likely drop on SNKRS in the coming week and overall there isn't much demand for them. There is a possibility that the Playboy jacket does well but with so many Playboy pieces being released over the last few seasons there isn't much demand for it on top of the weather warming up. Moving onto the G&G collab, it is another one of those artist collabs with unusual graphics and in this case very loud. It is important to mention that the clothing appears to be available in two colors per item so that will only help resell value. Artists collabs tend to be a lot more limited than the public thinks so as long as there is enough demand for them they will do well in the after market. Per usual with clothing, size small does the best in the after market and black usually does better than white. The decks are a lot more expensive than the lookbook items but also a lot more limited so there is some money to be made there. The decks will be worth the most if sold as a set. Overall, it is a calm week but without a doubt some money to be made between the director's chair and the G&G collab.
